New Mexico Sunrise!
Got to Taos late Thursday. Long drive and slept in on Friday. We've got a beautiful view of the Mountains, so I decided to give the Saturday morning sunrise a go. The color went pretty quickly, but the clouds were fantastic. The weather is great. The photography is picking up nicely. Even did some portraits of the niece and nephew. Sorry for a rather crude edit. I am working with Photoshop Elements 2.0, no mouse, just enough to get something stirring. Hope you enjoy.

Very nice Dominic, especially with your limited processing tools. The cloud color could have been a more cooperative, but it looks like you were able to see a nice pattern of light filtering thru the clouds.

Thanks for the post from Taos...hope to see more!

Hey Dominic, great to hear your having fun in Taos and the weather is cooperating. I personally like this image, there is just a hint of detail in the landscape, strong focus on the foreground flowering shrub and even a nice layering to the distant mountains. Nice sky and complimentary colors in the blooms and bg elements.

A beautiful scene, well captured. Have a great time! :wavey:

Hi Dominic, I like this image as well. The bush in the corner has just enough light to bring out the colors, then leads the eye to the sunrise over the mountain. Looks like yu were able to capture some great cloud patterns here also. Nice capture and thanks for posting! Have a great time in Taos!
