If the usage is "fair use" you can publish them in a blog as an illustration for educational purposes etc. If you write a review of a book f.ex. you can publish a photo from the book to illustrate its content. Be sure to provide links and copyright info though! It's a soap box though, so be careful!

Are your photos available for use on a site like mine which is content rich, but we sell nothing?
