Mostly looking for compositional opinions, but any suggestion is welcome.
the chopped off mountain really bugs me, but others have said it doesn't bother them. Please tell me what you think.
I was trying to use the trail as a frame for the left and bottom as well as pull the viewer through the scene, into the trees and over to the mountian.
It seems a bit over sharpened and I don't think you would have lost anything buy looking right a bit more to include the whole mountain. The mountain doesn't have to be the center of attraction but I'd still like to see it all.

Actualy vertical with the full mountain, and only the small group og trees on the right would be perfect. Right now the "missing in action" mountains bugs me a bit.
Great light you had there.

The dynamic range looks slightly unnatural IMO, with the tree-tops nearly as bright as the clouds behind. I agree it seems a bit oversharpened, but I think a blend might be more to blame than sharpening for the halos. The comp leaves much to be desired. A lot of muted green and little interest other than the clipped mountain. Some highlight work on the mountain seems a bit excessive also - likely correction related. I believe your concept was to use the trail as a compositional line, but I feel it splits the landscape and diverts attention.
Note: Good image. Critiques are not meant to imply the image was a complete waste or anything. Just a few things to consider.

Thanks guys. That's the feedback I was looking for.
FYI: the unnatural dynamic range is due to shadow recovery. I think I overdid it a little :) I didn't bracket the shot for blending because I didn't think I was going to like the clipped mountain anyway.
I'm thinking that I could probably work this some more to make it better, but I think I'll spend my effort on the other comps I took..
You could work this more, and get it less grainy looking. I still think the comp would have been very strong if it were more right. I'm not sure if the left side adds much.
