Streamlight Stylus Users...

I'm looking at purchasing the Streamlight Stylus and was wondering what difference the color of the bulb makes. Is there a visual advantage between red and blue? Or would the bulb color just be a personal choice based on color alone?

I think it's pretty much personal preference. Red probably has been used longer than blue for perservation of night vision, but I prefer blue myself. A buddy of mine some years back told me that blue was actually more effective than red for night vision, but I don't know if that was based on scientific evidence, or just personal observation.

Green is my favorite - it seems to illuminate the best.
