Here's a piece of software that removes tourists from your photos. I could sure use that once in a while. I saw this posted on The Online Photographer, not sure if it is a joke or really does composite photos to remove unwanted Texans. Anyway, I thought you guys might enjoy the idea.
Yeh, Eric! I enjoy the idea. Especially if it can remove those kinda folks from the Pagosa-Durango Colorado area Hmmn, Silverton could use a clean-up too.

Man, you guys really dislike Texans, huh? We aren't all bad -- in most cases, I can't say I blame you though. Please accept an apology on behalf of our state. We aren't used to such nice scenery -- consequently, we aren't so good at knowing how to respect it.

It's not just the respect thing, it seems that state of Texas (or should I say country) plan vacations all together.
Being a non-native myself, no way I'm going to throw stones...
Now if it could do something about soccer moms driving minivans (while talking on the cell phone) in the fast lane 10 mph below the speed limit, I'd buy a copy for both cars!

Scott and Justin – sorry ‘bout that! I don’t think these remarks were aimed at you.
Being a non-native myself (been here 1.5years) I am still not sure where the hostility towards Texans comes from. Maybe someone can fill me in?
But, from what I have observed so, far it seems to be aimed at people driving large SUVs with TX license plates (oh…wait…that’s you!! Maybe the one’s without platforms? Hmmmm…)

No offense taken -- while I'm from Texas, I have some healthy roots in Colorado. My great-grandfather ended up in Leadville for the gold rush and both of my grandparents were born and raised there.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I have to go grab my beer, climb into my Ford F350 extended-everything and run over small woodland animals. Yee-haw!

Yuppers and those big RVs that think they are the only vehicles on the road. They appear not to know how pull-outs can be used to let a string of cars go by.
I know a couple a Texans that are pretty good folks.
That said, my somewhat hidden "hostility" comes from growing up in Paonia where during hunting seasons (Sept-Dec) half the town's license plates were from Texas - and although I'm an avid hunter myself, this bunch of folks did no credit to their home state by being the biggest bunch of "jerks" they could possibly be (putting it mildly). Anything from trespassing to shooting each other in the street, (and calling my mom darlin' & honey, I really hated that) - a rather presumptuous and overbearing bunch.
Don't get me going on Texas.
I'm sure there are some great people down there including Scott (& Bill part-time).
Actually gotta feal a little sorry for the Texans that don't own land - there is so little public land there in that great big state.
I'm sure it could go without saying, but it deserves to be said - I know that a lot of this thread is in jest, but lest there be any confusion, we're not into stereotyping a whole state based on the members of its population that make the most negative impression. We could easily have that kind of fun with Coloradoans, too!

Nothing scarier that being in the Pagosa Springs area during hunting season, and coming across a pickup truck with Texas plates trolling along a back road, packed to the gills with hunters and gun barrels sticking out of every window...
Mostly nice folks from Texas, just another case of the bad ruining it for the rest.

Let us know how that software works out!
