California Glow
Actually this shot reminds me of the heat this summer in Kansas City too! I thought I'd throw out this "cool" shot of some slowly simmering oak scraps that were warming my chiminea one cool night.

Thanks for looking .... and, oh, KEEP COOL!

Wayne - I kind of like these embers. I think this might be a perfect candidate for the Orton technique - it would really make it "glow". Thanks for posting!

I really like this Wayne! I don't know what it is about a fire that's so mesmerizing, but I can stare at one for hours. You've shown a lot of interesting detail and the color is great. It's nice to see something I haven't seen in awhile - thanks!

Wayne, I can't add anything to whats already been said, I bet this would look fantistic as a large print hanging on the wall. Thanks for sharing!

Well now that life is back to normal(meaning work, eat, sleep, etc.) I can comment on the some of the wonderful recent posts, starting with this one. Wayne, I have never taken a photo of fire that I really liked. I really like this one. Beautiful balance. Great diagonals. Well done! :toast:
