Excellent shot, Todd. BTW - how were the flowers out that way?

Very nice, I'm planning on heading down that way this weekend.

Flowers are not legendary, but still lots of nice ones. The false helebore plants so prevalent in the area are turning brown, as is normal this time of year, and that gives the landscape more of a past prime, dying-on-the-vine look, but there's lots of fireweed high on the Gothic road, and fields of showy daisies and various yellow flowers most places.

Cool, Todd. That's outstanding. I love the reflection.
If you are in the Gothic area and you are looking for wildflowers, there are plenty along the 401 trail. I hiked up to Mount Bellevue yesterday and threw myself off attached to my bag wing. It has to still be one of the prettiest trails this time of year. There were bighead clover, silky phacelia, bluebells, mountain gentain, scarlet gilia, elephanthead, fire weed and that's just the red and blue flowers. Since I'm really bad about identifying the yellow and white ones, I won't even try except to say that there more than plenty. Reportedly, there are still areas were the wildflowers are waist high farther down the 401 trail.
