Just trying to get through the Skomer images Have plenty of the usual suspects (sand eels, nesting material etc) but this was one of my favourites - tried to isolate the puffin and the daisy as I thought it would be an unusual take on a Puffin image.
The Puffin is actually calling to her chick in the burrow underneath her although I like to think she was interested in smelling the flower
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Mark
an unusual pose for the bird but I like it. Plenty of detail in the plumage.

I like this image too, an interesting composition and pose, a bit different from the usual Puffin shots. Good exposure, nice detail in the Puffin, the daisy works too and helps balance the composition, otherwise I would have suggested a square crop but the daisy is just enough to make this composition work.
I missed Skomer this year, I went to Cornwall instead, but I hope to visit again next year, a great island to visit.
Hello Mark
Just checking the postings & I realised I must have missed this one. Quite a different Puffin shot, one with a bit of "character", which I like, makes me smile.
Best wishes

A very attractive and appealing shot, and,as you say, a little bit different and unusual.
