Last night I hiked the Killen Creek trail number 113 near Mt. Adams. There are flowers along most of the trails, lupine and paintbrush. Great meadows, some creeks and falls. You can walk up to the Pacific Crest Trail. Once you're on the PCT, there is a great view of Rainier and foothills.
If you're looking for something to do, check it out. Taklahk (?) Lake is also a great spot with campground. It was full last night, but there might be spots during the week.
