Great reflection, Dan! On the JPEG conversion it looks like you lost quite a bit in the highlights. I assume the original is even better.

I went down to Roxborough for sunrise, but it seems they open the park whenever they feel like it, so after watching a nice sunrise with nothing to shoot, I headed back north on Wadsworth. When I got up to Belmar, I thought of all of those wonderful pictures I had seen Dan post, so I parked the car and wandered over to the lake. Very nice place, with a lot of waterfowl.
I saw someone with a HUGE lens (I am still using my Sigma 400mm 5.6 while I save up the money to upgrade), so I decided to ask if he was on NPN (his name had slipped my mind ) I have to say, even with the short time we chatted, it was a pleasure meeting you. I am glad I finally joined NPN (and RMNP). Everyone here seems very pleasent and helpful!
This is the best I got this morning. Not a keeper. My Sigma 400mm will only work at 5.6 on the 10D, so I end up with limited DOF. Hopefully soon I can upgrade to a better lens. I will be back to Belmar, though, and will be there earlier (instead of driving to Roxborough and back first! )

Dan, I'm glad that other ugly criters take a look in the mirror before taking off in the morning Nice photo and reflection and also a bit of character.
David, the opening times I've used for Roxborough are the ones posted on their (State Park) web site, which seem to change a bit with the seasons. There are not too many times of the year when you can get even close to a sunrise there, though it seems like in the winter you can get close to a sunset.
