"Rockies" sunset
OK, so maybe not the "Rockies" you were thinking ! :biggrin: :rolleyes: :wink:

I went to the Rockies/Padres games last Friday night with a bunch of folks from my wife's work, and was treated to a good game (Rox won 3-1), and an even better sunset! From the upper deck in right center field, we had a great view out over the Front Range as things started lighting up in a big way. For about 15 minutes, I kinda forgot about the game :biggrin: and just shot away with my digital point and shoot! At one point my wonderful wife turned to me as I was wistfully gazing to the west, and said "I'm sure it's not nearly this good up on Mt. Evans right now." HA! Ahh, she knows me so very well.

I always seem to see the best sunsets when I am nowhere near a camera, or else I have a camera and all I have is horrible foreground! :wink:

Cool! Jennifer and I were coming home from dinner and saw things developing; we raced out to Hwy 93 to the Flatirons overlook - GREAT susnet. I had the p&s with me, but no tripod :rolleyes: , so I didn't get anything worth keeping; it was great to watch, though!

(nice light on the mountain here :biggrin: )

LF crop or did you actually set up your whole rig in front of the Padres fan behind you? :biggrin: Nice shot- keeping it interesting. :wink:

HA! Yeah, they don't like it when you set up a huge 4x5, and then stand there with the dark cloth over your head and your butt in their faces!!!! LOL!

Yup, cropped to get rid of the video screen at the bottom and to center the subject.

Nice, you should sell this to the Rockies. I saw the same sunset while driving around Friday and was wishing I had my camera.
