The 77th edition of Nature Photographers Online Magazine is now on the server and awaiting your perusal!

We start off with a dramatic photo for the NPN cover. Member Salvo Orlando captured this amazing image of an erruption of Mt. Etna, the first photo of an errupting volcano that has appeared as a NPN cover shot.

Niall Benvie takes spends some time Photographing the Faroes, a group of islands located in the northern Atlantic. As always, great commentary accompanied with some equally great photography.

Rod Barbee offers some advice on Photographing Without a Camera. How is this possible? Does Rod actually take photos without a camera? You'll have to read this one to find out!

NPN member Alain Briot serves up the essay Just Say Yes! in which he offers both advice and his personal points of view on the subject of photo manipualtion and the marketing of such work. If you have ever found yourself entangled in the "manipulate vs. leave it as it is" debate, you will want to read this essay!

Long time NPN member Drew Fulton goes to Australia. While this in itself may not seem like earth-shattering news, the circumstances of his travel are certainly of interest, and something that Drew should be congratulated on. Be sure to check the first in a series of upcoming installments documenting Drew's travel down-under in his article Of Emus and Fairy-wrens – An Introduction. Nice going, Drew!

And finally, Paul W. Faust serves up another batch of nature photography book reviews.

So there you have it. Be sure to dump those temporary Internet files so the new pages load up correctly, pull up a chair and enjoy this latest edition!

Nice work, Jim! Great issue. Reading down through Alain's article, it appears there has been some word clipping in many of the paragraphs. (either that, or maybe Alain needs a new editor!). Just an observation.

Alain usually gets right to his point, and this article follows. My answer to the question is not Yes, but instead "Of course!" :wavey:

Lee, I think it's NPN that needs a new editor! I often struggle with the balance between "making it read correctly for me" versus "writing style." When in doubt, I lean towards leaving it "as is" as once I start down the path of heavy editing the article may no longer come accross the way the author intended. This becomes even more difficult with the diversity of dialect found in articles published on NPN - Alain is French, Niall is Scottish, etc.

As always, your comments are appreciated and thanks for reading the articles!

Bravo Alain! Your way of saying it is more palatable than my "All photography is fake."

(but all photography IS fake!)
