Hi All,
I have been very overwhelmed by all your kind comments regarding my posting's. I really did learn alot at the weekend and had some great opportunities.
I feel that my photography has improved, also my processing techniques, and I'm so pleased that you all think so to.
This is the same perch as my Magpie post, them and the Jay's would take turn's in posing
All comments welcome
Regards
Rob

Hi Rob
Same perch, different bird, great shot
Another excellent portrait shot with good pose, shows the feathers and plummage perfectly, and a nice head turn and eye contact.
My only suggestion would be for me I feel it needs just a fraction more contrast. If I tweak the midpoint levels slider to about 0.96 then the image has a bit more 'pop'. Possibly a couple of points on the saturation might help too. It's only minor though and might just be down to variations between our monitors.
I think anything you learnt from Phil over the weekend would be a bonus, as the impressive species list you managed to see and photograph sounds like it's well and truly worth the courses' cost alone .
Another very fine shot of an often really tricky species.
For my tastes the bird is a nice size in the frame and also has a pleasing relaxed pose.
The perch and background work great too.

Hi Rob,
Another wonderful image. Again, the perch and BG andpose is superb, and very sharp! For me it's composed a bit too centraly and would like a bit off the right and a bit more on the left. But it's all subjective but a great shot that I'd be VERy happy to have in my bag!!
