The inclusion of the road warranted original placement of this shot for critique in the Man and Nature forum. I usually post in ES&S, so I thought I'd share it here based on the reactions I received. I know it's been done to death, but this light was pretty nice.

"this light was pretty nice" may be an understatement. Great shot, and in this case I like the inclusion of the road.

Very nice. Deceptive perspective. Looks like a road through some rolling hills.

I was recently in RMNP but too lazy to get up in the morning for wonderful light like this. My impression is one of luminance balance. Thanks for reminding me that the early am light is so wonderful.

That's really nice, Mark! The warm colors are great and the sunlight on the foreground rocks are a nice icing on things. It may be similar to something that has been done a few times, but I don't think I've ever seen this particular perspective.

You did a great job capturing the color here. It seems whenever I'm up on Trail Ridge that the color on the divide is faint and low contrast because it's so distant. Nice job
