Turtle Dove
Canon EOS 1D MKII, 600mm f4 non IS, f6.3, 1/5000, ISO 800, G1548, Wimberley head, Hide, RAW, RSE, CS2, Full frame.

Hi All,

This is another from my workshop, It will also be my last input for a while as I move house next weekend, and will be staying at the in laws until my house is ready, so will not have that much access to the net, but hopefully will be able to look in at least once a week.

All comments welcome

Regards

Hi Rob,

Yet again another cracking image. Love the colours, exposure and saturation are perfect, tack sharp and nicely composed. Good skills indeed. Good luck with the house move...stress!!!

Perhaps not the place to ask, but noticed you have the non-IS 600mm. What sort of money do these go for? I assume they're only available second hand when someone's parting with one! Never seen one for sale anywhere.

Hi Rob

Top notch shot Rob. Great colour and detail. My only comment is the composition is a bit central and maybe offsetting the bird slightly to the right would improve it. However this is a very minor point, overall it is an excellent detailed portrait of this bird.

cheers

Sean

p.s. good luck with the house move

Hi Rob

Another really great shot - agree with Sean a little central but that is a minor point. Unfortunately this beautiful dove is a little thin on the ground in the West Country.

Amazing looking bird, I must have seen them as a kid but don't remember. I'd prefer more space on the left as well.
