An Eagle Owl in Deep Thought (c)
Took this the other day of one of the Eagle Owls I work with. I would love to know what he was thinking.

The grey border at the base is the top of a fence rail, I used this on purpose to break up the image. To be honest the fence rail got in the way

(c) in title for captive bred

D2X - 400mm AF-S F2.8 (Handheld)
ISO 200, F6.7, 1/1000sec

I haven't been out of the Centre with the camera kit for ages now, this I put down to workload, harsh light & to much foilage for wildlife to hide in. Looking forward to mid Autumn onwards

Is this your hand puppet? I have a friend who owns the puppet company that sells such bird puppets in RSPB centres.
Great expression, but then if you had a hand shoved up the .....

Hi Vincent,

This one does'nt really work for me with the current composition. If you get rid of the fence rail at the bottom and use the measure tool to sit him up a bit ( as to me he looks awkward at the moment). Then I think the image would be a lot better. But he is one handsome looking bird.

Regards
