Here's a shot looking the opposite direction (actually, about 50 degrees left) from my seemingly bright sunshiny Mosquito Range reflection post from the other day. I had two mornings in a row, first at Porphyry, then here, where clouds blocked the light on the north/right side of my sunrises, but I got good light on the south/left side.
And for those who don't already know, these are called crespucular rays. Geez, first I get awesome Brocken spectre back in June, and now these? What a summer! Bring on the rainbows!

Very nice, I love the composition, the way the back ridge points to the bright spot on the first riidge, and of course the "god beams". Heck there isnt anything in this photo I dont like (maybe some highlight blowouts?)!! Wow!!

Thanks Paul. I hear you on the clipping of the highlights, but there was no way to avoid it, AND I like the way that it makes you feel like you're actually looking into the sun when you're looking at a photograph. I tend to squint a little bit when I view that part of a photo like this.
