Twilight Reflections

Early this morning from Marin County, California. I've driven by this location many times and have meaning to come out here for sunrise. I've always been impressed by how still the water can get at this time of day. On this morning the area was sprinkled with patchy fog which I hope enhances the shot. A deer was nice enough to join the fun...

Please view the larger size as well.

This is a spectacular image. Really beautiful and artistic. It is unfortunate that the picnic tables spoil the natural beauty, but they also make the scene look the an inviting place to relax. I love the form of the trees, and the detail in the reflection is amazing. Nice color and atmosphere too.

Such gorgeous delicate colors! The picnic table can easily be cloned out if it's a bother, but it doesn't bother me that much. :toast:

Mike, this is awesome - a big WOW factor for me! I just love the magenta tones and the fog in the bg. The deer, of course, is too small to add anything to this and as a fine art print blown up HUGE, I would clone out the deer, the tables, and the posts/distracting objects on the right and make it a completely square symmetric crop. Very cool! :toast:

This is fantastic and the magenta color puts this image out of this world. One of the top images I have seen in this forum in a long time. Congrats !

This just explodes off of the screen at me. Talk about an image with POP! And sharp, too. I like the deer, but not them durn tables. You should sneak back at night and drag them all away with a pickup truck, then come back and re-shoot this scene if you happen to not get thrown in jail. Or just clone them, out - if you want to do it the hard way....

Gorgeous color in sky and reflection. Love the composition, although I like it better with about 1/6 taken off of the right.

Beautiful, such soft color and love the haze. I like the picnic table, makes you wonder who is lucky enough to ever sit there.

Mike, very nice. The composition and colors are quite something here. The stillness of the water and fog really add to the shot. I like the deer, also.
