The Viverone lake is one of the many glacial lakes lying at the feet of the Western Alps in Piedmont, Italy. I took this picture last Sunday night at sunset.
Your C&C are as always highly appreciated, thanks for your time.

Details: Eos 50D, Tokina ATX-Pro 12-24 f4, GND 8x, tripod. Triple exposure blending.

P.S. a larger size is also available, check it out for better details.

Very nice, the colors can't be beat! Im surprised theres no ice in the lake with all the snow around there.

Stan, this lake is at very low altitude, not more than 300 meters asl. and it lies in the plain just at the feet of the Alps. There's probably some ice on the opposite shore, but this is the shore facing south, so no way of finding ice on this side.

Cheers,
Paolo

This is a beauty Paolo. I like how the water looks almost like mercury.

Amazing and captivating light is defining this beautiful picture.
I love the feel of water and the texture of the deck and the anchor.

Simplistic, yet majestic. This image would be perfect for one of those posters hanging in the office and promoting some great achievements. Thank you for sharing.
