Siblings
by Robert Ganz
These little ones were playing in my backyard. I think they are just coming of age, and they were jumping each other as if in some frantic conga line....quite humourous to watch their antics. Perhaps some gender confusion going on too......for at least one of them.
Anyway, they were in the shade so I got as close as I could with my 300mm (the photo is cropped about 10% all around) cranked up the ISO to 1600 and hoped for the best. This pose was during one of their brief pauses in activity.
Canon 10D, available light, handheld ISO 1600 (noise reduced with Neat Image).
I know it is backyard fauna and borders on Man & Nature...but hey I heard you guys were laid back over here.
Cheers,

It's got personality. I smiled immediately. Please do the following...
1) Print Large.
2) Hang on Wall.
Great shot.

I have it printed at 8.5X11 but any larger and the ISO noise really starts to show :(
Still, a better printer than my inkjet might do a better job.
Thanks again...the kids at the daycare love this.
This is one of the best family portraits I've seen from nature.Very nice.Iso 1600 also looks very good to me.
Thanks for sharing
Congratulations on the Editor's Pick, very well deserved.

I'm so jealous, we've got these squirrels in our backyard but they never do this!
