I have been down to the Palouse a lot lately and have experienced some pretty incredible weather. Here is one taken just before the sun set on the other side. I was hoping for a rainbow but the storm clouds lit up real nicely as the sun was going down. Thanks for looking! Chip

Hey Chip,
I can't believe that there are not more comments on this one! I really like the depth of the scene, and that light is to die for. You continue to impress!

Holy cr@p!!! What light...and form! What's impressive here is that most Palouse shots focus on the form of the undulating landscape quite strongly...but here, the scene is distant enough to make the land in the midground appear like ripples in the sea....something else!

Oh, this is a great shot of the area, Chip! Well done! Seeing a bit of snow on the far away peaks is pretty cool. The line of trees atop the one hill near the bg on the left provides a splendid contrast there. The sky and the lighting are fabulous. The contours in that amazing landscape really stand out well.

I hoped I'd see this image in the Picks, Chip. Way to go. I think Kevin said it best: "... one of the all time great shots of the Palouse." I think he's right on. Hats off to you for the shot and the well deserved EP! :toast:
