Golden Light and golden flowers upon the slopes above the Upper Wenas Valley in Central Washington. A bit of smoke mingles with the clouds over the distant hills from our first wildfire of the season.

Something about the processing gives this a very painterly look. It's a beautiful image.

Beautiful image Mike, I don't see many images from Central Washington, so it's nice to see a post from there. Love the light too.

You nailed the web sharpening on this image. The flowers jump off the screen with detail. I'd love to see a large version of this image.

Beautiful shot. The color looks excellent and the lighting is very nice. Great find, I know the area and I find it takes a significant amount of effort and time on the ground to find a scene like this. Well done.

A beautiful shot, Mike. The fg flowers are wonderful. I also like the way the farm adds some nice interest to the mg of the scene. Great light and color balance too.

Nicely done. Reminds me of spring walks with wife and the kids when we lived in Yakima and White Swan. You captured a lovely scene whose flowers are outstanding. Beautiful capture. Ken S

Way to go, Mike! It's a wonderful view that encompasses all the classic elements of the environment in that area of WA. I like that you included a farm. The fg flowers are just great. Great pick for the EP, too; congratulations! And good work.
