200 mm macro, tripod, etc.

For what it's worth, I thought more about the black spaces than the flower. I had lots of time to think because a thunderstorm was blowing in and the wind kept this flower moving.

Nice use of back lighting, like the detail on the petals and every little hair standing out.

A different view of a flower I find very difficult to get a really pleasing image of..I think this works well

I agree. A different perspective and you nailed the exposure.

Nice image.

A really well executed image and an excellent job of controlling the exposure for the back lighting. I like the different and unusual composition that works well in my opinion, showing fine detail and texture of the leaves etc.

Best Regards

Pete,

Good job of going against the grain with this compositon. Very unique and very nice. The fine details and perfect exposure puts this one over the top, well done.

Pete...

Beautiful and incredible shot! I was thinking that this would do very well in the upcomong Weekly Challenge...'Anthropomorphic'...because to me this looks like the back perspective of a lady dancing with a pink tutu...ok, maybe not...but I sure see it

Very well done!
