Elmer's Island Sunrise

Photography gives me another excuse to be out at my favorite time of day. Even before I ever picked up a camera and fishing was my favorite outdoor activity, it was always important be on the water before sunrise.

Elmer's Island was recently acquired by the state for public use. Most of the Louisiana coast is marsh and this is one of the few beaches that can be reached without a boat.

I agree, there is nothing like being at the water's edge during a sunrise or sunset. Thanks for posting this dramatic display of color.

Great clouds and light. Wonderful colors as well. The more I learn about photography, the easier it is for me to get up to see sunrise though sometimes it still takes some prodding to get me going
