True confession time ... this image was made on October 3rd while I was out with fellow NPNer's Angela Classen and Scott Bean. Scott introduced us to several areas around Tuttle Creek Resovoir near Manhattan, KS after we shot sunrise on the Kansas River.

This image reminds me of one of the things I've grown to appreciate about what nature photography has done for me. It has given me the opportunity to meet many talented and like minded people. Not much better in this world than experiencing the beauty of nature with family and friends.

Much to my chagrine I read the fine print on the 4th and discovered that the 3rd was fair game for NAD too, so no worries.

I have met many people who I admire and respect through photography and NPN. I consider them good friends, even if we have only met virtually.

Nice image. I like all the golden and brown tones of the leaves and grasses. Wasn't that sumac just amazing?

I've spend many weekends chasing pheasants and quail around Turtle Creek when I was just out of high school. I've probably been in those very gullies a few times myself! It's just how I remember them.

Very nice Wayne. Kansas is not as flat as many believe.
