Calm at Last

After putting our short canoe trip in Killarney, Ontario off for several days the storms finally subsided and we were able to get out to the edge of Georgian Bay to photograph some of the granite islands which are scattered there. Paddling by moonlight on calm waters to this location was the highlight of our trip by a long shot (it rained for most of the trip). I'm curious if this looks too saturated. I have tried to replicate what I remember it looking like, but I'm not sure if this is still looking natural or not. Thanks for your opinions.

Looks good to me. Very nice! Sounds like a great trip, despite the rain.

Wayne, I like everything about this. As far as over saturation is concerned I really can't tell. The rocks, water and sky are certainly realistic on my monitor. I can't comment on the color of the canoe, having never seen it, but, the color of the paddles look pretty standard to me. While It doesn't bother me in the least, if someone were looking for a nit, the temporary (I presume) placement of the paddles as a photographic element could be construed as unnatural. Very nice composition and, given this image, I'd say the trip was well worth it.

Awesome shot Wayne. I love everything about it, perfect light and sky, great comp. and the processing looks spot on. Not too much saturation for me. The yellow canoe just pops. If anything I might tone the canoe down just a hair in keeping with the subdued light in the scene. Well done man!

Wayne, this is stunning in all regards. Saturation looks great to me. This is quintessential Ontario. Beautifully done!

I like how you placed the oars outside the boat. Little things like that can really add up. Great Shot!

Stunning. I like everything about this. I'm a big fan of over-saturation (with noise control of course) and I believe this is spot on.

Love it! I think the placement and angle of the canoe as well as the paddles is perfect, The halo over the island - priceless. :toast:
