Dune Fence and Crab Lair

Hi,

An intimate portrait of the dunes at Ft. Walton Beach. I was attracted by the long shadows and changing warm/cool tones right at sunset. I then noticed the crab hole and the small tracks on the sand and made this image.

Thanks for Looking.

Best,

Jose

Fantastic textures and light Jose. I like this the best of your series so far. Wonderful work.

I truly like how the shadows of the slats merge with the rippled shadows of the sand! Superb.

Exquisite lite and a nicely composed image. From the thumbnail, I thought it looked like a right good snowfall out on the Cape. Fooled this Connecticut Yankee for a minute or two, and just think you didn't even have to get chilled to capture such a great photo.

There's so much to like about this seemingly simple image. Gorgeous lighting, patterns and textures.

While this fence seems pretty useless, it makes a great subject for sure. Nice light.

Pretty neat the way the shadows of the fence merge with the ripples in the sand. I think a simplified composition with a crop off the top to just above the bottom post would work really well too.

That is some sweet light. I love the textures too. I'll second Kent's cropping idea.
