Three guys - Five peaks

This is a nice memory shot of our trip to the Dolomites in October. In the back you can see the "Cinque Torri" (Five Towers).
On the left is Herbert Köberl (not a member here yet), the small guy in the middle is me and on the right there's Dietrich "Didl" Gloger. If Paolo and Giovanni had joined us, this would be "Five guys - Five peaks" - maybe next year.

I think Herbert looks best here... You are a bit - let's say - sqeezed-in between the two of us, and I look as if I could loose some weight and some work out. It's the just that t-shirt really...

Narcism aside, it is great to have this. As mentioned, too often when experiencing something that can't be taken for granted given a "normal" life, I too seldom say to myself to enjoy the moment to its fullest. It's good to have this photo. Looking at this now, 120% back in work-life, this one seems almost unreal.

By the way, where's the one with the jumps?

looks like you had a great time - no surprise there, given the scenery and the weather...

Not only was the weather fine and the landscape impressive - with these two guys there's fun all the time. Here's the crazy version of our group photo ... :)

2nd version is great. wonder why you went with the other one first.
only didls choreography is not quite flawless yet. (as former basketball player I must say, it seems he can't even jump the height of a telephone book...   )

and one more thing Didl: the statement concerning your flabby t-shirt was a lie, a lie, a lie!

Great stuff guys - Glad I wandered over here to check out the latest pics.

Jumping (or lack thereof Dietrich) is all fun and everything.... but what I want to know is, I thought you all went hiking? What's up with the nice road? Are the hiking boots just for show?

@Lon ... this place is petty well accessible from the valley down there. But we came from the other side and were hiking indeed. It took us about 90 minutes to get to this place here. Not too long of a walk but considering that this was day 3 our legs already were a little tired and we we all were carrying our heavy backpacks with us.
I don't want to mention what we encountered after this shot was taken when we descended back down on the other way. We took the wrong track and found us climbing down in a narrow ravine that was just a footpath for climbers. Quite tricky if you carry a lot of stuff.
