I made it to Florida just in time for the hurricane (Just like last time.) We are all watching the skies down here wondering when the rain will start.

Sweet shot, Charlie. And it works well with your weather concerns. :toast:

Impeccable timing Charlie - for the worst regarding your trip but for the better with the owls, catching them both looking up like they are. Real nice sharpness and detail on both owls - your larger image really shines, IMO. Have a great time down there, rain or no rain!

Charlie, nice shot of these owls. Great poses on them and what nice habitat you included. By the way, welcome to Florida, the hurricane state. Nah. This storm may produce some wind and rain, but it is only a TS, so no big deal. Finding good light will be difficult unfortunately. Cheers Ron

They certainly have their eye on something Charlie . Cute shot you got there. Reminds me a little of my Saw-whet Owl shot I posted earlier this year.
Stay safe out there ! :toast:

I only have experience shooting one species of owl, the GGO. I would be thrilled to come across this scene, they gave you a great expression and you responded with a spot-on exposure and focus. It's nice having noiseless iso 800 for opportunities like this.
