Argyle Lake Autumn I
by Jim Sabiston
My first post to this gallery. A local gallery that sells my work has been pressing me for some local imagery for their inventory. I've been poking about looking for something that would suit my style and found this pre-dawn scene at a local lake near town.
Low light and a breeze compromised the image quality and so I decided to experiment with some artistic filter, watercolor in this case, further treated witha various adjustments in contrast, saturation, select blurring, vignetting, etc. Lot's of fun and I liked where it ended up. The print is in the Gallery now looking for a new home!

2 commentsI can so relate to the weather conditions. Sometimes the scene tells me to capture it in camera knowing that I will not treat it as a photograph, but something inside me tells me there is potential. The capture is the starting point for something inside me.
I hope someone feels a connection and wants the piece to enjoy in a home or office.
