I've been out with Spikey again. He's having a great time oudoors. I'm Spikey's father for almost 2 years now. In the summer he's somewhere in the garden and in the winter he's sleeps in a nice winter home which my son and I have build for him. I hope he will stay with us for many years to come.

What a great photo depicting autumn in general. Really nice color and composition. We also have a pet hedgehog, the African kind, which I don't think would be quite as receptive to hanging out outdoors in the autumn chill.

Nice capture, Edwin. I like the low perspective but am thinking being shot from a little higher might help to remove some of the foreground blur. The eye contact is very nice.

This is a very strong photo Edwin I can sure imagine it has the potential to sell well in Holland. I do not want to be a spoil sport, but actually this belongs more in man and nature than here. Before I move it I will look into this further. - I was wrong Edwin, since it is no truly domesticated animal it does fit here.

I love it. I want a hedgehog. I really love the colors, the little tree, the fall colors, even the barrel, and especially that adorable hedgehog. Only nit, the OOF band along the bottom. I guess that could not be helped with the low perspective.

I actually kinda like the band of foreground leaves. Color-wise, it ties in nicely with the red leaves still in the tree and I like the sense of truly being on ground level to view the "pig" (as my wife calls them) in action.

Great story and the image really stands out. Like the low angle and the colors. Also like how you included the bucket in which he lives.

This is very nice, my only nit is that it is tight on both sides of the frame. I would've liked to see more room on both sides, or more room on the RH side of the frame and cropping the a small amount of the pail out of the image. Nonetheless, beautiful!

Hi Edwin,

Beautiful colour palette and a near perfect use of selective focus. Simply excellent.

Cheers...
