Nightfire Hibiscus
Had a light but steady rain going most of the day but I got tired of sitting around the house so I went snooping in the garden. This is one of our newer hibiscus flowers. I like the deep maroon/purple petals and of course the bright red bugles. All comments welcome.>=))>

Perfect dof for my tastes Bill. Exceptional detail and I like the perpendicular diagonals in the composition a lot. The droplets are really fine icing. Gorgeous image.

Oooo, I wish I could capture droplets like that... Beautiful plane of focus to create an abstract with an abundance of interest. The colors suit the Fall season... well, if there is Fall in Texas. Really nice Bill.

Nice composition, with perect DOF. The texture of the petals works very well.

I like these peek a boo shot of the flowers. Another great photo from you Bill. Did I see that right, a 200mm Macro? WOW, that must be fun, the possibilities must be endless. :toast:

Love your point of focus and colors here Bill, but the comp seems a tad too busy for my taste. Mostly the folds in the upper right and the intrusion in the lower right. I'm more than jealous that you still have flowers in the garden!

Nice way to frame the orange center using the petal folds, Bill . Much of the action is in the left of the center and that holds the center stage for me.

Looks like your "bugles" are trying to play hide and seek! Very well captured and I admire your ability to capture water drops! As you often say Bill - two thumbs up! :toast: Like your off center composition and diagonal placement of subject.

Bill, very nice texture and framing... The spot of red amidst the muted maroons is a real delight as are the drops :toast: :toast:

Wonderful, Bill. Sure wish I could go snooping in my gardens for something pretty like this to shoot  All I've got now is "yuck" Beautifully captured.

nice comp and gorgeous colours. Just the out of focus front pedal distracts me.
