Hi all, thanks for your comments and critiques, I'll improve the torres del paine photo very soon and I'll show you.

Anyway, this second post was taken from the wonder lake campsite at Denali National Park a couple of years ago, with a storm that crossed the entire Alaska range from east to west. We decide not to miss the oportunity to catch this very special light at dusk.

I hope you like it

Canon EOS 5D, Canon EF 70-200 f/4L, 2 singh ray GND (3 and 2 stops soft), polarizer, ISO 100, f/16

Best regards

Absolutely fantastic lighting and perspective. My only minor critique is the bottom right corner being a bit empty in comparison. A crop from the bottom might work too. Very nice work in any case. :toast:

Fantastic light. The mountain looks like its floating in the sky. Would love to see another comp of this focusing more on the mountain with less foreground. :wavey:

Beautiful mix of light and shadow. I do agree with the bottom right corner being empty. Nice work.

Great light and layers, I really like the atmosphere at the base of the mountain.

Very nice drama. It is dark on my monitor, but this does show off the lovely light. I like the strong triangle formed by the trees.

Another magic shot although not the best one of the trip, in my opinion,
BTW I agree with Marc's comment about the empty space in the LRC of the picture.
Waiting for the next great shot

Wonderful light, colors, and textures. I don't mind the bottom at all, but the top feels a little heavy to me.

What a capture...really stunning. It seems like Denali is playing hide and go seek and you found her beautiful in this shot.

Roberto,

I missed your first posting so I wanted to welcome you to NPN and the ES&S gallery!

You were blessed with being able to see "the mountain" during your stay at Wonder Lake. During my only visit there I spent nearly 23 hours in the tent because of constant rain and in the 4 days we were there, saw the mountain for a total of about 3 hours...

I love the glimpse of Denali that you have captured here and the amazing light on the tundra. If it were mine, I would increase the contrast in the upper part of the image to help bring out the mountain a little bit more and bring out the light play on the Brooks range as well.

Agreed about the LRC, but more importantly the very bottom seems disproportionately lighter than the rest of the tundra. due to the grads perhaps? Regardless though, this is a great capture and brings back fond memories for me.

Welcome aboard. We all look forward to your images and for your participation. Don't be shy, feel free to jump right in and make some comments of your own. Thanks!

Lon

Didn't notice the mountain in the thumbnail, but man what I surprise when the larger image opened up. Fantastic sky, love the colors.

Wow, the way the mountain appears out of nowhere is just incredible! And superb light all around. I can see some crop options to focus more on the mountain, and lose the corner Marc is referring to, but however you do it, this is great work!

Roberto, Fantastic shot of this location. I've heard it can be rare to even see the mountain from Wonder Lake. It would seem very fortunate to not only have seen the mountain, but also to have seen such wonderful lighting across the entire range. And welcome to NPN.

Other than agreeing with the crop suggestion, this is marvelous! Wonderful capture of the mountain light with such a magical foreground. Outstanding!

Epic. You hit this one out of the park man. My only nit is that the image is split too evenly down the middle - I'd like to ideally see more emphasis on the mountain, cropping just above the tree in the foreground would be my suggestion.
