A simple scene close to my home after the first winter storm. Can't wait for more.

Very nice light. I like the low point of view on the water.

Beautiful conditions for photography! Good work with the light here. My eye is nicely drawn from fg towards the bg. Maybe you want to clone out that white dot, bottom right.

Jim...this is really nice, completely evocative of the cold, clear morning after a snow storm. I love the light. Wouldn't do much different, but the trees on the upper right seem just a tad too bright...a little burning could tone them down just a bit and balance everything even better

Beautiful blues showing the coldness of winter. I would probably crop the sky a bit to force the viewers eye onto the landscape more. Nice image.

Wonderful image, Jim. Having previously lived in NH for a long time, I can feel this photo, if that makes sense. A couple of nits - the white dot at the bottom needs to go. And, this is personal, but I'd burn down the trees on the right side just a little. My eyes go right to them. I also think a small crop from the top might force ones eye down into the scene, but that's not a biggie. Nicely done!

I really like the cold, crisp, quiet, stillness this image conveys. The blues and whites work very well together.

Jim,

Simple works just about every time. A beautiful winter scenic.

Minor suggestion would be to clone out the little white spec of snow at the bottom right. also, I'm not sure if it's noise or oversharpening, but water at the bottom looks a little noisy to me - or - it's an area where maybe too much sharpening for the web happened when it probably doesn't need any at all. I think it's certainly worth trying to address.

I really like how the clean, crisp beauty of a winter morning takes centre stage. I enjoy seeing these type of conditions in the context of a more dramatic landscape as much as anyone but this is a simpler but still strong alternative to something with majestic peaks, etc. The white dot and bright RHS trees have already been mentioned and I agree. Doing a crop from the top by scroll definitely makes this stronger for me - I think it has the effect of making that separate stand of trees in the centre into a strong focal point. I think the uneven polarization effect can actually add to an image sometimes, as it does here, IMHO. Along with the crop and stand of trees I previously mentioned, the polarization creates kind of an arrow effect leading to those trees.
