David,
The shadows are fabulous. The highlights are a bit confused/blown, but this is a tough high contrast shot, handled well.

David,
A very interesting image and certainly a great play of light and shadows. You must be standing in the shadow of one of the trees as I don't see you or your tripod's shadow (ok, possibly handheld.) I do like the shadows, but the light seems a bit on the cool side and I also wish the sky wasn't quite so washed out. The only other nit would be that this also seems a little soft.
I do really like the scene and what you tried to capture here; especially the lines, light and shadows.
On a side note, it would be helpful to the other members if you provided some information about the image. What attracted you, what were you trying to accomplish and any technical information like if a tripod was used and any camera settings. Also, are you looking for suggestions or simply comments? Lastly, I'm sure you will get a much better response if you were to offer some commentary on other people's images. We're all here to receive feedback, but we can also learn a lot by critiquing other images as well. Thanks!

I like this one a lot. Very creative way of showing a forest. Good work with the shadow and the light.
