I just want to say that I am truly humbled by the excellent quality of the photographs that are being posted! You folks are inspiring. And have raised the bar for me personally.

I shot this back in 05 and has always been a favorite of mine. Originally processed in Raw Shooter today in Lightroom. Thanks for taking a look. Your comments are always welcome.

Neat shot Matthew. I really like the color, lighting and comp as well as the drops of water. My only tiny nit is that I wish the FG petal tips were sharp.

Lovely colors. Maybe a slightly closer crop, even a square format might be good. There's not much drama on the right side and I think it could go. Overall, I like it.

Lovely closeup of what I think is a dahlia. Really shows the subtle twists and turns of each petal. Slight adjustments of the contrast or saturation would really make it pop. :wavey:

Nice comp that pulls you in, and great color as well. I like the raindrops, too.

Love the color in this image, and the unique perspective gives the flower an artistic, free-flowing look. Very appealing. The only drawback is I think it deserves more depth of field to catch the fg petals. Darn it, I do this often, and sometimes get by with it, but most of the time- and especially when the petals shapes and lines do so much to create a pattern/design as they are here- more dof is needed.

Matthew, Nice close-up which might have looked even better with a bit more frontal depth of field. Nice colors and dew.

Hi Matthew :wavey: Beautiful color and light, More frontal DOF would make this a killer shot :smile

Matthew: Really nice colors and details. More DOF would be nice but this works very nicely for me as is. Well done. >=))>
