Black Stones

Early sunday, me and some photo-friends went to the old wood at the Halleberg Mountain. We where at bit early so it was to dark to go into the woods. A hot cup of coffe and then we did some shoting along the black stones just outside the wood. Lake Vänern is the largest lake in Sweden so there was quite a swell rolling in from NE. Had my 60mm macro fitted with a polarizer and decided to give it a try.

f/13 - 8s - 60mm - ISO200 and CPL Filter

Not much of a stunning view but personally, I quite like the graphical look on this. Critique and feedback on the composition as always highly appreciated

I like this a lot Christer. It has a very dreamy mood to it, and is composed wonderfully.

Hi Christer,

New guy here, but I do want to pitch in..Thanks for posting the image, I think the image has great composition and great atmosphere as well.

Only nitpick(minor) that comes to my mind is not of the image but the subject itself(we have seen a lot of similar images of rocks and water i guess). But that does not take away in anyway from the beauty of this one.

I like it - has a very nice feel to. I would crop a1/3 -1/2 of the top off to tighten up the image a bit. Well done.

Hi Christer :wavey: You have transformed a simple scene, into a masterful composition of the elements. Amazing light and lines.

Primordial was the word that came to mind here. This feels like the ancient shore where life itself began on the planet. Nicely done!

I like the glistening light on the rocks Christer. Very moody indeed.

Love it Christer. the black tones and the light reflecting on the rocks are superb. If this were mine, I would consider a slight crop on the top to just above the large rock, as well as a slight crop on the left hand side, with the intention of making the rocks more prominent in the image which to me are phenomenal. This has tremendous graphic appeal and I would try to capitalize on that aspect. Just my opinion of course, and this is gorgeous as presented.
