Must be nice to see red fox out in the wild... I've seen about 4 in the last 6 years, 2 of which were at night.
I like the head on look, the lighting and the detail

Hi Dab
This is probably my favorite of the fox. Great detail and composition. Love the look the fox is giving you.

Great eye contact and upraised paw is excellent. Cropping a bit from the top gives the appearance of a lower perspective. Perhaps down to the top of the shadow over the fox's back?

Well done Dan. I really like the red fox on the blue shadowed snow. Great symmetrical head on view.

When I looked at the thumbnail I knew this had to be yours! Very cool image, but what I like most are the vivid colors.

Congrats on another very solid red fox image! I think the texture and light of the snow crystals at the front left foot is the element that really makes this shot.

Hi Dan,
Two things stick out very predominantly to me on this image - great colour palette and excellent use of selective focus (along with a near optimal aperture choice and depth-of-field). Add in a strong composition and...presto...great image! One VERY small nit - to my eye the right side of the coyote's head (left side of frame) looks just a little too bright and lacking in contrast. If the image were mine I think I'd play with that area a little to bring out just a tad more detail...
Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Wonderful lighting on this, and his stare is mesmerizing. The right side of his head seems a tad overexposed. Other than that I think this is beautiful.

Great color contrast and eye contact. You tried a highlight multiply on the right side of his face? Seems a touch hot on my monitor.

Great shot Dan. No nits, but if this were mine, I'd increase the overall contrast - keeping a close eye on those highlights of course. Well done.

Hey Dan,
I really enjoy the color contrast here......really makes the fox stand out! I might be leaning towards a bit off the top camp......but this is very nicely handled and the low eye contact is great!

Hi Dan,
This is sweet! Love the angle and I think the bluish color of the snow makes the fox stand out more. Nice lighting. Congrats on the EP.
