Contemplation...

Hi All,

One of my favourite "wintery" shots - simply being offered up as my season's greetings to everyone. Merry Christmas to all those who celebrate it...and to those who don't - best wishes to you too!

Background desaturated to emphasize fox and leaves...

Cheers everyone - thanks for a great year...

Brad

The setting really makes the fox pop. As someone who also enjoys photographing foxes, I can see I have a lot to learn. Thanks for another nice lesson, Brad.

I like it a lot too Brad, simple and beautiful. The matching color of the two stray leaves is interesting and adds a little something. Merry Christmas Brad! :wavey:

I love how the fox is looking up. Such a pleasant winter scene. Even with all of that snow there is a feeling of warmth in the image. Happy holidays to you too and thanks for all of your feedback.

Hey Brad,
Belated Merry Christmas to you also and Happy New Year. I really like your choice of desaturating the twigs......very effective and really makes this a standout.

nice restful pose. sweet contrast between the fox and the snow and the complexity of the plants vs the simplicity of the fox fur.

Fantastic! I remember seeing this one before and noting the two leaves - I like it just as much this time.

Beautiful photo Brad - fox have become increasingly scarce in these parts so I never am afforded chances like this.

The one nit is there is ONE leaf just north (and a little east) of the foxes nose that either should retain its color or be cloned (trust me, had to look hard to find something to critique..)
