This picture was in a repost but I think it deserves a posting of its on. This was in Yellowstone at the end of August and this big bull could not understand why the cows were ignoring him. He was very frustrated.
Thanks for looking at my picture and for any comments.

Nice bugling pose with excellent sharpness. A bit more frame on top (not much) to balance the empty space on bottom would help.

Nice pose, that's a huge rack.

This is my favorite of your recent elk shots. I like the environment and the elks pose.

Hi Jack,
I love the look in his eye and the BG is outstanding as usual in Yellowstone!

Classic! I agree with the idea of a bit more space on top. Perhaps if you had a lower perspective when taking the photo it would have had more sense of place?

Jack,

Wonderful shot of a magnificent bull! I would agree with what's already been said about a little more on top but that's a matter of taste. The pose and look in his makes the shot...well done.

Lovel! Composition looks fine by me although I agree a lower angle would have helped.

Hi Jack,

I agree that this shot is worth a post of its own. Good timing here - you captured the behaviour at just the right moment. I like the simple foreground/background but I do agree with Ed and Lon that positioning the elk lower in the frame probably would increase the strength of this composition.

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...
