Sandy Stream
by Mary Dennis
Hi all. Finally had some solid time to get out and about with my camera this past weekend and managed to spend a few quiet moments sitting by a favorite little stream of mine. I hope to have more time in the near future to get out with my camera and also to contribute more comments here. Thanks for looking.

6 commentsNice to see a post from you. Ditto on both Steve's and Tony's comments. In addition to those comments, I like how the little scene transitions from reflective to transparent... a very interesting combination. I really like this.

Tony--I'm still out here and I thank you much for your kind and encouraging words. Have you ever been in one of those deep dark slumps? Well, I gotta be honest---that's where I'm at. Can't really offer up much of an explanation until I figure it out myself. One way I describe it: my camera used to feel like my best friend but lately it just sits on the shelf being uncommunicative and withdrawn. Silly huh? I have no idea what happened but I am confident we'll work it out sooner or later.
Lon--Ya know, I think that's what draws me to these little water scenes. They are both reflective and transparent.
Missed seeing your pictures so I am glad that you are posting again. This one is a real mind twister. It took me a while to figure things out that made studying the photograph so much more enjoyable.
All the best for 2010.
