Two Medicine

This is a panorama stitched in Photoshop CS4 from 13 images showing the early morning sun illuminating Mt. Sinopah in Glacier National Park, MT. The panorama shows almost all of Two Medicine Lake which had a mirror-like reflection that morning. Photo taken in early June 2009.

Happy New Year everyone!

Both times I've been here the wind howled non-stop. Beautiful light and a lovely pano, Mike.

This location is amazing. One of my favorite locations. This light looks very familiar... likely because we were here with in days of each other. I was photographing this area on the 11th of June. Heaven on earth. Great job with the panoramic! :toast:

It is really a glorious morning. I imagine that the full-resolution printout must be amazing!

Mike,

Welcome to NPN and the ES&S Gallery! What a beautiful reflection to start things out. The symmetry is great with that mirrored reflection - I like to call these "reflectionscapes." I also like that you have the light balance between the two halves just right with the water and reflection being slightly darker.

Welcome aboard. We look forward to your images and your participation.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I was extremely lucky to be in this area on such a beautiful morning with no wind and before the summer visitors arrived to paddle around the lake.

that's quite an awesome cloud and reflection - very beautiful. Too bad the big cloud wasn't more to the left side, to balance the comp a bit more, but hey, you can't have everything!
