This is another shot from the Alabama Hills looking across the Owens Valley, with the late afternoon sun hitting the Inyo Mountains.
Thanks,
Rudy

Wonderful layers and light, Rudy. Can't think of anything I'd change.

Wow Rudy, this is terrific! Strong and beautifully arranged foreground - almost looks professionally landscaped! the midground hills make a decent connector to the background and man, what a background it is. You have a stand alone killer image just with the light on the Inyos and that fabulous sky; but put all these things together and you have one great image. Great work capturing and crafting this one.

A beautiful shot, Rudy. I like the flat lighting and color, and the fg/mg/bg layered comp. Excellent work!

Rudy, Great light on the Inyos and the clouds are pretty dreamlike too. The shaded flat valley bottom could pass for Owens Lake. Some parts of it look wet which gives it even more interest. You've got flowers too, definitely a go to spot that you can return to again and again.

Hi Rudy
Very good placement of all elements, maybe the stone of the foreground "touching" the valley is deducting depth to the scene but it's not important...Have you tried to boost contrast to the background hills?

This is excellent. Most photographers are locked into looking in the opposite direction towards the Sierra but the views east can be every bit as spectacular and unique as you demonstrated here so well. I love it.

I really like the fg flowers as they add a colorful feel to the textures of the hills and mountains.

Very nice, especially the sky. This reminds me of Death Valley.

It's cool the way the shadow in the valley takes on the appearance of a river, and I think your foreground is really beautiful. There's something about the sky that makes if feel disconnected from the rest of the scene, but that could just be my take.

It is a truly excellent and fascinating picture. As a minor nit, I also feel that the sky stands by itself, somehow disconnected from the background mountains... Maybe because the sky is very vivid, while the mountains are slightly hazy...
