Trying to capture something a little different at a very popular location. I can't decide if I like this composition or not so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Martin,

Very nice to see a post from you. What a different and refreshing view from Bryce. Having never been there myself, and from all the images I've seen from here, I never would have guessed there were aspen nearby. I really like the sidelight in the golden aspen and how the glow is echoed in the lower part of the canyon as well. I think this is a great rendition from Bryce! A wonderful view and very nicely captured. I can imagine very well how this might pop on your light table.

Hah! Wasn't sure about this from the thumb, but glad I clicked 'er open. The bottom FG is a bit bright for me, but those formations throughout the image w/ the tree on the left make for a great combo.

This is a very different take on Bryce. I like the juxtaposition of the tree and canyon colors. Nicely done.

I like this view Martin especially the aspen which adds another dimension to Bryce. Beautiful color and light as well.

I think the composition is good but it's the wonderful light that really draws me here. Everything just glows beautifully.

I think the fg tree leaves add to an already dimensional image. Like it a lot.

Wonderful image. There's a few bright spots, but that's minor. Really need to go there sometime.

Lovely sight, Martin. The 4x5 of this must be marvelous.

I think showing less of the background (it doesn't take much to give away the location) and making the tree more prominent might make a more purposeful composition, but it looks like that might not be a good option with the required tilts for focus.

Composition works for me. Love how the leaves blend into the hoodoos.

Great contrast of the foregroung leaves with the bkg canyon.
I wonder how it would look with the canyon more in shadows and slightly out of focus.
