Whitetail Buck

Bruce,
Awesome shot! I love the eye contact, and pose. He's got great fur detail, and the DOF was perfect, he is completely in focus, but really stands out from the BG. No nits from me! Thanks for sharing this!

Very nice indeed Bruce. Great sharpness, detail, nice DOF and interesting pose and eye contact. I do find it a bit unfortunate that the most prominent grass or plant stem in the BG is right between the antlers, but that is really a very minor thing.

Fantastic-looking buck! Super-sharp with excellent selective DOF. This would look great in 8x10 format with a bit of cropping from top and bottom, too. I might be tempted to "cheat" a little and reduce the red saturation and brightness a bit just on those red leaves between the antlers.

Nice buck! The exposure looks good to me and I like the texture of the wet hair on his head, which tells me he has been eating in the wet foliage. The orange weed between the antlers is slightly distracting to my eye, and you could consider de-saturating it a bit or darkening it.

Love the look on this bucks face. Makes the image for me. He just looks so surprised.
