Snow Doe

Taken in a local park, just before sunset. I spent over two hours tracking, and stalking this deer. I was able to get quite close (this was shot at 70mm), and got tons of shots. During most of the year you are lucky to get close to these deer, but they are a little more tolerant in the winter.
I'd love comments and critiques. Thanks!

Oh, this is full frame, and I did some noise reduction.

Tech:
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS @ 70mm f/4.5
1/320 sec
ISO 400

That indeed is very close Cam and she seems very comfortable being so close to a human. I like the DOF and the profile head pose as well as the ear positions. I might consider brightening up the deer selectively just a little bit.

Wow, Cam, this really does look CLOSE.
Nice warn light and good details. f/4.5 was just wide enough to throw the background out of focus.

Neat images! Given how close she is to the lens, I think a camera angle level with her back-line would have presented her with a slightly more graceful form. Good job in not blowing out the whites in the snow and on the doe.

Love the snow on her nose. I also like the reddish tones in her coat. It is so cool when animals let us into their space. One just has to hope their lack of fear doesn't have dire consequences for them in the end.
