Another from my trip to the English Lakes...

I'm not really sure about this one so I'd appreciate any comments.

I really like it, though the wind movement in some of the branches does detract a bit. It may not bother some others. But the colors, composition, and detail are all very strong in my book.

I like this very much Julian, the dark trunks in a sea of gold and red, along with some very nice depth brings this together beautifully.

I like the blurring from the wind movement. I think it gives more life to the image. I also like how the image gets more complex as you work your way from top to bottom where there is nice depth showing the density of the forest.

The motion doesn't bother me at all here... in fact, I think it's very appealing. The image feels a bit dark overall, but I love the colors and detail. The closest tree provides a resting place for the eye - without seeming to stand out too much. Excellent shot.

I like this a lot. Great colors and bold lines. It is organized chaos and works very well.

Love the contorted lines of the tree branches set amongst all that incredible autumn color. Composition is superb. Beautiful.

I have to say the colors here are stunning! I like the composition, but the bottom 2/3 is the strongest part of the scene for me.

Julian,

Not to sure about this one??? really? I think this is marvelous and perhaps my favorite in recent months. The branches have a wild structure about them holding the composition together and the mix of colors is wonderful - especially the rusts at the bottom and even the hint of green throughout. Interesting too is that there are places where the effects of the wind and motion can be seen, and yet it doesn't distract and I think even adds a little magic to the scene. I really like this.

I have to agree with Lon, ordinarily blur doesnt work for me too well, but here it just feels right. Its a strong subject, and well-balanced comp. Good work!
