Blue Motion

This is another shoot from the natural serve o Plemmirio (Siracuse/Sicily).
I was very well impressed by this location the first time I was there and I decided to came back in a more enjoyable light condition.
This was a very peaceful morning and this is the perfect condition to shoot from this beach. In fact the beach is the product of the collapsing of the riff behind and there are only a few meters from the water to the rocks, this means that if case of slight sea it is impossible to stay there.

Mario,

This is a gorgeous coastal scene. the comp is excellent and the motion in the clouds gives this that little extra punch that really makes this stand out. Personally, I think the blues are slightly oversaturated, but that is always subjective and a matter of personal choice. I think the crispness and depth are tremedous here and this is truly a beautiful capture.

I'm with Lon here. Excellent beach shot with great depth and details. In the darker areas of the sky the blues are a little strong - again, a matter of taste.

Whoa, I love it! Great composition that leads the eye in a nice arc through the frame. Color and detail are fantastic.

Love the composition here Mario, the sun rising at the left is a great escape point to the eye. Stunning scene.
My grandmother was born and raised in Catania, and i have familily there, all the Sicily island is quite beautiful.

The motion of the clouds with the moon gives a nice dreamy quality, and the foreground anchors it well.

Very nice composition and light, Mario. I especially like the intense blues and the way they reflect in the water.

Beautiful composition - the rocks in the foreground are a nice leading line to the curving line of the cliffs. Wonderful colors in the sky, and the longer exposure did some really cool things to those clouds. My only criticism is the orange light on the horizon. It seems just a little hot and distracts me a tiny bit.

I love your composition here, Mario. The clean lines and smooth water are beautiful. However, I find the sky a bit heavy in saturation and tends to push the shot down rather than open it up. Great shot nevertheless!
