The sky, mountains and valley are fantastic. Great detail and color. I find the snow in the lower left quad a distraction, as it lacks any texture. I would prefer to see more of the cut off peak on the right.

Powerful diagonal, this composition caught my eye. Nicely done. I agree the lack of texture is a little puzzling to my senses.

Pretty scene, John--i climbed 28 of the high peaks but never got up there. Looks cold. I thnk the blue/purple in the mts in back is a little strong, id personally prefer it as unsaturated as possible--it would also help limit the compression which is wrecking havoc with the bg detail here.

I fully agree with the comments that the snow in LL lacks texture. If we had texture on it, the image would be completely different. I think that with the right photo-processing in PS on the raw file it should be possible to bring the texture.

A very pretty scene. I can't comment on the LL snow as I'm on my work monitor (uncalibrated), but it all looks good to me. The sky adds a wonderful touch of drama to the scene.

I agree with Stan as the colors in the mountains look too strong for my taste. I'd consider converting this to black and white and lightening the foreground snow a touch. On this monitor it seems a bit underexposed.

The Adirondacks are a place I keep coming back to every chance I get. It is a magical place. I love the winters in particular. I agree that the lower left corner lacks detail and the colors can be corrected but I enjoy the image nonetheless. I hope to get up to Lake Placid in the next month. Let me know if you want to grab a coffee while I'm there.

It's anice scene. I agree about trying to bring a little detail into the foreground snow. Also there is a funky reddish, purpleish, brown color in some areas that seems a little wierd.

Nice scene, but I agree with the comments on the colors, they are definitely a bit strong on the saturation. i love the sky though. the snow in the lower left is just a bit distracting from the rest of the great view!
