This past Saturday night our oh-so-accurate TV weather forecaster actually got one right.
He predicted extreme fog, thick frost, and temps in the low 20’s the following morning. Absolutely perfect conditions for anyone who loves to shoot foliage. I made an early start Sunday morning. I put the GPS on the truck dash, and began to drive aimlessly around neighboring counties. I chose to take the least paved roads possible. I found a tree tunnel in the middle of nowhere. The entanglement of the freshly frosted fog flocked foliage was something to behold. I made it a point on this outing not to use a tripod. I wanted to keep the framing a flowing and spontaneous reaction. Here is what the early morning dark foggy hours brought ... Probably my favorite shot of the past year. I intentionally kept the WB shifted to keep the deep blue feel of the environment around me. The piercing moist cold air penetrated my lungs on every breath.

Those in your face limbs are very nice here. I agree with you keeping the cooler wb as I do quite often. Might crop in from the left over to those twin trees at the bottom and call it a day
We just got some hoar frost down here for a couple days, think Ill transfer my pics of my cf card now and process a few.
Great shot btw
Way to execute an idea!
